Restoring your interior woodwork can transform your home and give it the real Wow factor. So often period features are considered too troublesome and are covered over with paint or carpets. Or worse still, completely removed. Whatever style of house you have and whatever type of decor you are aiming for, nothing looks better than real wood in all its glory.

 

I don't sand, that will remove all the patination and age of the wood, I will revive or if necessary strip and refinish using whatever type of polish , wax or oil is best suited. Panelling, staircases and floors will look amazing once the work has been completed.

In many cases all that is needed on period panelled walls is a good waxing. Never allow a company or indeed yourself to sand and brush on a colour varnish. There are too many companies with no knowledge or experience that will do a 'quick fix' but it will never look good and will not last.
